One of my Items from FamilyTreeAntiques on Etsy was featured in a recent Treasury collection.

Boys Hunting Rabbit
One of my favorite Charles H. Shader Photographs

I will get back to you but the boy holding the Rabbits is named ____ Turner, and the boy pointing the gun is Charles H. Shader's son Henry Shader.

This original 1903 copy of this Photograph is posted for Sale on my Etsy page.  I do have another original mounted of this wonderful photograph to keep in my collection.

Charles H Shader Armature Photographer

Charles H Shader the son of Adolphus & Martha Frances (Forbis) Shader was born June 10, 1864 in Kentucky and died May 31, 1953.  Charles married Annie Clark Oliver and had two children Henry Adolphus Shader born 1891 and Clara Shader born 1895.

Charles H Shader was an armature photographer and recorded some wonderful photographs.  The main theme of his collection being Family along the Green River in Kentucky.  The collection will be posted to Etsy as time allows.

The Green River of Kentucky; Camping Along the Green River; Large Catfish; Family and Friends; Swimming; Watermelon Eating are all favorite subjects of this photographer.


Three Generations of the Adolphus Shader family are shown in this photograph taken around 1903 along the Green River, Kentucky. The children are playing a game with the full attention of the adults especially grandpa.
